Emily Bett Rickards is a Canadian born actor. Her fame was primarily in America for her role as Felicity Smoak, portrayed by The CW series Arrow. Rickards was born within British Columbia, is Canadian. For the purpose of launching her acting career, she started performing in musical theater and dance, in the hopes of later introducing formal acting. After graduating early from high-school She enrolled in Vancouver Film School and completed acting essentials. Once she was done with the program, she went to an audition that was open and she got signed. She studied at The Alida Vocal Studio in Vancouver. Initially signed as a single-episode guest star, her chemistry with the show's main character Stephen Amell coupled with positive fan reaction as well as her sarcastic quips led to her first signing as a co-star on recurring basis for the rest of the first season, and then as a regular character during the second season.
